Commissioning for local populations

Making a difference for communities in London

The Office of London CCGs supports clinical commissioners by overseeing procurement processes and managing contracts for ‘once-for-London’ activities. This includes commissioning and managing the myhealthlondon website which is owned by London’s CCGs and is the public-facing website for information about health, care and wellbeing.

myhealthlondon is an invaluable resource for the public, and is central to the success of the Transforming London’s Health and Care Together programme. It is part of the NHS digital primary care transformation plans for primary care in London giving access to live service information and latest news and developments they need about health, care and wellbeing on a single website.

Myhealthlondon helps health professionals and GPs to assist patients, using clinical terms and demographic data relating to the patient in your care, facilitating the best care pathway.

“and the website helps ensure that all healthcare touch points across the Capital are assisting people to access the right services, at the right time and in the most appropriate setting.”

Tony Johnson, Associate Director, Office of London CCGs

Myhealthlondon uses the same Directory of Services (DoS) database used by NHS 111, and is the most accurate and up-to-date urgent/unscheduled care service directory available across the NHS, including information on Christmas and New Year bank holiday opening times. Information on the DoS includes over 11,000 urgent care services, community health providers and specialist healthcare services in London, with many more services continually being added.

myhealthlondon provides maps, contact information, opening times and service information for primary care, urgent/unscheduled care, community services and maternity services in London. Local authority services, including public health and social care, are also being added through a pioneering collaboration between the NHS in London and local authorities.

The myhealthlondon website also has information on London-wide health promotion and behaviour change campaigns from partners, including the Healthy London Partnership, Public Health England and NHS England London.
